In a press conference in Seoul on Friday (via The Korea Times), the film’s director Min Yong Keun revealed that most scenes of the movie were shot on Jeju Island.

Soulmate Cast Members Share What To Expect From the Movie

During the same press conference, Kim Da Mi shared the times she felt connected to Jeon So Nee while making the film.

According to the actress, there was a scene during the film where she felt like she was not yet ready. She chose not to tell anyone due to her fear she might cause a delay. However, Jeon So Nee approached her after noticing her uneasiness and asked if she needed more time.

Because of that, Kim Da Mi felt more linked to her and eventually became her best friend in real life.

Meanwhile, Jeon So Nee compared Mi So and Ha Eun, saying that their opposite personalities can already be noticed because of their hobbies. Mi So loves abstract painting while her best friend is more into still-life painting.

"Kim and Jeon helped me beat my nerves by sharing my worries. They gave me a lot of advice while we were shooting together, which was really helpful in crafting my character arc," he went on.

Soulmate’s release date is yet to be confirmed. But it was disclosed it would premiere in March.
