What If...? Season 2 is filled with several surprises and then some. While we got to hear some of the OG Marvel cast return to the Multiverse, we also had big names joining the series. That said, who is actress Kiawentiio Tarbell, the voice of Wáhta in What If Season 2?
Kiawentiio Tarbell's Prominent Netflix Roles
What If...? as a concept has always held great promise in the expansion of the Marvel Multiverse, and the second season just debuted one of the newest and most anticipated heroes, Kahhori, wielding the power of the blue Tesseract.
But before she gained her newfound powers, who voiced Wáhta in the What If? Meet Kiawentiio Tarbell, a Canadian Mohawk actress who is best known for her Netflix role in the Anne with an E series. Tarbell played Ka'kwet, the daughter of Aluk, who first appeared in Season 3.
Ka'Kwet was one of the closest friends whom Anne Shirley-Cuthbert made outside her school out of curiosity about their tribe's culture and stories, despite how the town deemed their presence.
Kiawentiio is also known for portraying Tekahentakhwa in the 2020 film, Beans, and soon, she'll do her first starring role in Netflix's upcoming live-action series, Avatar: The Last Airbender as Katara.
Meanwhile, despite having a small role in the second season of What If, Kiawentiio Tarbell played an integral role as Wáhta who was instrumental in leading Kohhari to become the Indigenous hero she was always meant to be.

Wáhta's Role in What If...? Season 2 Explained
In What If Season 2, Kiawentiio Tarbell voices Wáhta who happens to be one of Kahhori's friends who trodded on forbidden land into the forest, where they saw the Forbidden Lake their ancestors had warned them about.
Little did they know that the Forbidden Lake was not the one they saw in broad daylight, but the one in an underground cave, glowing blue waters.
Though Kahhori ended up falling into a different world, Wáhta was the last to witness her on their side of the world. As What If...? Season 2 put it:
"After the fall of Asgard, the Tesseract took on a second life among Kahhori's ancestors. Breaking on impact, the Cube released unmitigated Space Stone energy, gifting its power to the Lake. Warriors, adventurers and other noble tribespeople disappeared into the waters, never to return. Greed and grief ignited a terrible battle amongst the surrounding nations. In the end, peace was made, and the lake's blood-soaked shores were deemed cursed, deterring all from returning to it."
