Kate Middleton and Camilla Parker-Bowles, the future queen consorts, enjoy great relationships. One royal expert even considers them, along with their husbands, the new fab four. However, things were reportedly different back then.

Duchess Camilla Reportedly Disapproved Of Kate Middleton For Prince William

In Christopher Andersen's book Game of Crowns: Elizabeth, Camilla, Kate and the Throne, the biographer claimed that there was a rift between the two duchesses. The Duchess of Cornwall was reportedly not impressed with the Duchess of Cambridge for her stepson, Prince William.

Andersen said in the book that Camilla found Middleton "pretty, but rather dim" and "too lowly" to marry the second in line to the throne, Express reported.

Camilla allegedly wanted Prince William and Middleton to split. She even talked to her husband, Prince Charles, to speak with his son and advised him to dump his then-girlfriend, Andersen wrote.

However, the royal author also claimed that Camilla's disapproval of Middleton was due to her jealousy because the latter was more popular. Prince William's then-girlfriend and now-wife is well-loved and supported by the public that some royal fans want the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to take over the throne after Queen Elizabeth, which is not happening at all.

Kate Middleton And Duchess Camilla's Relationship And Photoshoot

Prince Charles and Prince William's wives are very close. In fact, Duchess Camilla chose Kate Middleton to be her photographer for her cover for Country Life magazine. Camilla shared some details about their photoshoot, and she had nothing but praises for Middleton, especially about the latter's photography skills.

"She did very good pictures, and she does it sort of naturally. We had a lot of fun doing it," Camilla said in a preview of an upcoming ITV special, People reported. "It was very relaxed and, of course, very kind of the Duchess of Cambridge."

According to Camilla, Middleton arrived with a camera. They did a very casual shoot, there wasn't much hair and makeup. They did the photoshoot in the garden "with a lot of laughs."

Middleton is an "extremely good photographer," Camilla said of her daughter-in-law.

"If I can get over the fact I'm looking at myself, I think that they're very nice, and I think they're just what's needed for Country Life," Camilla said, showing her approval of the finished product.

Royal biographer Katie Nicholl, the author of Kate: The Future Queen, spoke about the two duchesses' relationship after learning about the photoshoot. According to Nicholl, the two are very close.

"They're very very close, they really are," the Vanity Fair correspondent said on GB News. "It's interesting isn't it, we were sitting here talking about the fab four last time and, of course, that was Harry and Meghan and William and Kate, and now we talk about a very different fab four. We are talking about Charles and Camilla and William and Kate."
