Prince Harry announced his memoir last year and it will hit the bookshelves later this year despite rumors that it will be delayed. An unnamed source warned the royal family to brace themselves about his upcoming book.
Prince Harry Will Reportedly Share new Stories In Upcoming Memoir
The Duke of Sussex has been working on his memoir since last year. In the past days, there were rumors that it would be pushed back because his memoir was not included in the publisher's upcoming releases.
An unnamed source spoke with Page Six and assured the outlet that Prince Harry's $20 million tome will contain more explosive truth bombs that will rock the palace.
"There’s a lot of new stories in there about the past that Harry has not spoken about before, about his childhood … there is some content in there that should make his family nervous," the insider said.
Another tipster said that the delayed rumors were not true because the book is still due to be published in the fall of 2022 and the NY publishing source told the outlet that "it's juicy, that's for sure."
The outlet noted that even if Prince Harry is willing to drop new details about his family, he made sure that there would be no derogatory statements about his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have maintained their close bond with Her Majesty despite their falling-out with the other members of the royal family.
What Did Prince Harry Say About His Memoir?
Prince William's brother announced last year his memoir. According to him, it will document his life, from his childhood to his marriage to Meghan Markle. The Duke of Sussex also assured fans that it would be a "firsthand account" of his life.
"I’m writing this not as the prince I was born but as the man I have become," Prince Harry said when he announced the memoir in July last year. "I’ve worn many hats over the years, both literally and figuratively, and my hope is that in telling my story — the highs and lows, the mistakes, the lessons learned — I can help show that no matter where we come from, we have more in common than we think."
He added, "I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to share what I’ve learned over the course of my life so far and excited for people to read a firsthand account of my life that’s accurate and wholly truthful."
It remains unknown if the memoir contains some updates from Prince Harry's most recent trip to the U.K. He flew to his home country last month for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
Prince Harry's memoir will be published by Penguin Random House.
