Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle are often pitted against each other. However, in their recent sightings, several reports claimed they copy each other's style, suggesting that they have swapped their fashion senses.
Meghan Markle Reportedly Copied Kate Middleton's Hairstyle
The Duchess of Sussex rocked a new hairstyle when she met some Californian students and talked about mental health and well-being with her husband. Express noted that her hairstyle might have taken inspiration from her sister-in-law as she styled her hair in loose waves, which is Kate Middleton's signature style.
Markle donned a black dress and accessorized with gold bangles for the said outing. She wore smokey eyeshadow and nude lipstick for the engagement.
Prince Harry matched his wife by wearing a black top. The Duke of Sussex accessorized with multiple bracelets on his right arm.
The royal couple reportedly met teenagers from a local youth group, AHA! Santa Barbara. The couple stayed for about an hour and talked with them about feeling insecure and the effects of peer pressure on social media.
Kate Middleton Allegedly Copied Meghan Markle NAACP Outfit
Meanwhile, the Princess of Wales was accused of copying Meghan Markle's outfit when she received the President's Award at the NAACP Image Awards in February 2022. At the event, she looked stunning, wearing a one-shouldered gown in multiple shades of blue by Christopher John Rogers.
The allegations came after Kensington Palace released a video of Middleton playing piano for the 2023 Eurovision. The future queen consort was gorgeous in her blue one-shouldered Jenny Packham gown.
Since both are one-shoulder dresses and share the same hue, Markle's fans accused Middleton of copying her dress, according to Fox News Digital.
One Twitter user wrote:
"It is quite creepy the way Kate Middleton copies everything that Meghan wears and does. She never ever has an original idea of her own. Meghan lives on in Kate's head rent-free."
Another cadded:
"This is just too sick! The firm and the so-called royals didn't want Meghan around, but having Kate try to copy her shows they wanted Meghan more than they realized. Kate will always be fake and nothing else."
However, several also defended Middleton from the comparison. According to them, it's unlikely Prince William's wife would copy the former actress.
One user also said that the two dresses were very different, except for the shade of blue.
The online user wrote:
