KARA Seungyeon Reportedly Paid Tribute to Late Co-Member Goo Hara Through Recent Performance

KARA member Seungyeon seemingly remembered the late member, Goo Hara, during the girl group's recent performance.

To mark the girl group's 15th anniversary, KARA members reunited to hold a fan meeting in Seoul, South Korea. During the 2023 MOVE AGAIN event, the members performed their hit Japanese song, Jet Coaster Love.

Seungyeon Remembers Late KARA Member Goo Hara

Before Goo Hara's death, the members usually pointed at her as they included her name in the song's lyrics, singing, "Harahara dotchi setsunai yo." After her death, Jiyoung has been at the group's center.

However, Seungyeon made some changes during the fan meeting and pointed up while singing the line.

The clip has since gone viral on theqoo, with the fans praising Seungyeon for her heartfelt gesture. Some also remembered Goo Hara and wished her well wherever she is now.

"I went to the fan meeting and saw this live. KARA members still tear up when Hara is mentioned. I cried with them. The fans miss Hara so much. I hope she's resting in peace. I hope she knows that KARA is doing well, and that she's up there having fun with us ."

"As soon as she pointed up at the sky, I started bawling. Hara was such a beautiful person. I'm still so heartbroken over losing her. I miss her so much."

"I wish the best for KARA members and fans. I'm sure Hara's looking over them whenever and wherever they are."

KARA's Goo Hara Died At 28

Goo Hara was found dead at her home in Seoul in November 2019. Police recovered the body of the 28-year-old six months after her manager first discovered her unconscious.

At that time, local media outlets said that it was an apparent suicide attempt.

After recovering, Goo Hara apologized to her fans and proceeded with her solo promotion in Japan. She also released a new single.

However, a year before her death, she and her ex-boyfriend had a legal battle after the man threatened to release footage of them having sexual intercourse. The clip was filmed without her consent.

Goo Hara's death occurred weeks after her friend and K-pop idol Sulli also passed away.
