IVE Rei will take a temporary hiatus amid her health issues, her label Starship Entertainment confirmed.
Rei left fans worried after the idol only appeared during the photo OP at the Conrad Seoul Hotel and missed the rest of the album release showcase. The presenter of the event said she had to leave early due to her "worsening condition."
After the event, Starship Entertainment revealed what exactly happened to IVE Rei and announced her temporary hiatus.

IVE Rei To Go on Hiatus Amid Health Issues
On Tuesday, Starship Entertainment (via Korea JoongAng Daily) confirmed that Rei would take a temporary hiatus due to her health issues. It also revealed what exactly happened to the idol, saying that she experienced palpitations and pressure in her chest.
"Rei, after experiencing heart palpitations and pressure in her chest, paid a visit to the doctors to receive a consultation and medical checkups," the agency said. "We received medical advice that she needs treatment and should take a rest. After sufficient discussion with Rei, we have decided to temporarily halt her activities so she can recover her health."

Rei left IVE's album release showcase after only appearing during the press photoshoot session. This led fans to worry about her, especially since no other details were shared when she left.
Starship Entertainment apologized for what happened and called the incident "unexpected news." It pledged to support Rei and guide her throughout her recovery period.
It ended its statement by asking fans to wish her well.

After the update, fans took to Twitter to wish Rei a speedy recovery.

Meanwhile, Rei also posted a handwritten letter on IVE's official fan café to update the fans. She expressed how much she is missing DIVE (IVE's fans) already. Despite struggling, she chose to remind everyone to take care of themselves and have happy days ahead.
