Kang Daniel rose to fame as the No. 1 trainee in Produce 101, but he has more to offer in the industry.

Kang Daniel started his career in 2017 when he joined the idol competition series, Produce 101. He used his background in dancing to outshine other aspiring idols in the show. He did not disappoint at all as he ranked first following the series finale and debuted with project group Wanna One.

Several news outlets confirmed that Kang Daniel is currently worth $5 million, thanks to his solo gigs and hosting stints in the past months. It is estimated that the K-pop idol earns around $1,923 per week, making him earn at least $100,000 per year.

Like many other K-pop idols, Kang Daniel started from scratch, and his current net worth came from the combination of his salary as an idol, KONNECT’s CEO, and his shows appearances. He started to have ballooning net worth when WANNA ONE’s debut album 1x1=1 (To Be One) and its repackaged version 1-1=0 (Nothing Without You) sold more than 1.5 million copies worldwide.

Although he does not earn from the group anymore, he ensured he would still be financially stable by debuting as a soloist and creating his label.

At KONNECT Entertainment, he serves as its CEO and one of its artists. The agency itself helped him land in more projects, including Street Woman Fighter and Street Dance Girls Fighter. The idol also spearheads KD Corporation.

Kang Daniel’s Other Sources of Income

The K-pop idol also found fortune as a model of different brands and companies. The singer, so far, endorsed Samsung Galaxy Note 10 5G Aura Red, Think Nature, Kissing Heart eyewear, The Spring home, CHANEL, and Mexicana Chicken, to name a few.

From these collaborations, he reportedly earns around $250,000 per three-month contract and $860,000 per one-year contract.

With these financials that he has, Kang Daniel swiftly became one of the highest-valued stars in South Korea’s advertising industry.
