Spring 23 is an incredible anime season as there are lots of great shows to watch. Though "great" probably isn’t the best way to describe KamiKatsu as many fans consider it the best "worst anime" of the season after its terrible yet hilarious tractor scene.
At first glance, KamiKatsu is another run-of-the-mill isekai. And from the looks of it, the show has all the makings of a not-so-good isekai anime.
But the show quickly proved itself to be different from what was expected, albeit in an unexpected way.
KamiKatsu Is So Bad It’s Good
KamiKatsu: Working for God in a Godless World is an isekai anime that’s based on the manga of the same name.
The series follows Yukito, a guy who gets reincarnated into another world that has no gods.
When he gets in danger, he desperately prays to Mitama, the god of his father’s cult. Mitama unexpectedly answers his call.
While it may not be unique, it does feature an impressive voice cast, including Akari Kito (Nezuko in Demon Slayer), Sumire Uesaka (Nagatoro in Don’t Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro), and Kana Hanazawa (Akane in Psycho-Pass).
Despite the star-studded voice cast, KamiKatsu didn’t turn out that great.
In fact, it’s one of the lowest-rated shows of the season on MyAnimeList, with a score of 6.81.
This is a far cry from the likes of Oshi no Ko and Demon Slayer who have scores of 9.13 and 8.66, respectively.
Even if it’s getting low reviews, there are still fans who watch it as the show has a lot of “so bad it’s good” moments.

KamiKatsu Anime Tractor Trends Thanks to Terrible Animation
In the show’s latest episode, Yukito and Mitama are able to summon modern technology which they limit only to Mitama’s believers.
During one scene, a character is shown using a tractor. Instead of being a properly animated tractor though, the scene just used footage of an actual tractor with a filter on it to emulate the look of CGI.
Many viewers expressed how terrible this looks, with the character seeming like he’s simply pasted on top of the tractor. Though there’s no denying that it looks hilarious.
In fact, many believe that this was a conscious decision by the show’s staff instead of something done due to budget or time constraints.
There are also other terribly animated yet hilarious moments in the anime, enough that many fans consider this Spring 23’s best “worst anime” that’s still worth watching.
