After the movie was announced a few months ago, the Kaguya-sama: Love Is War anime movie got a new teaser that revealed its December release date in cinemas.
The teaser was uploaded on the Aniplex YouTube channel, with info about the movie being shared on its official website.
More details were also revealed via the Aniplex USA Twitter account, including a preview screening of one part of the film.
Kaguya-sama: Love Is War Movie Teaser and Anime NYC Preview
In case you missed its reveal, the Kaguya-sama: Love Is War movie is officially entitled Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: First Kiss wa Owaranai (Kaguya-sama: Love Is War: The First Kiss Never Ends in English). Its story adapts the manga arc of the same name that takes place after Season 3.
As for the series, Kaguya-sama: Love Is War is an anime by A-1 Pictures that’s based on the manga of the same name by Aka Akasaka.
The manga began serialization in Miracle Young Jump in 2015, but it was moved to Weekly Young Jump in March 2016.
The teaser for the upcoming film starts with clips taken from the Season 3 finale, and it only features a couple of scenes from the movie. Though it does come with a voiceover from the two main characters, Kaguya and Miyuki.
Ahead of the film’s cinema release, Aniplex announced that the first part of the movie will be screened at Anime NYC on November 19, 2022.
Aside from the screening, the Anime NYC event will have a panel featuring Kaguya Shinomiya's voice actress, Aoi Koga, who will be joined by Yuichiro Kikuchi of A-1 Pictures and Tatsuya Ishikawa of Aniplex.

Kaguya-sama: Love Is War Movie Release Date
As the film takes place after the third season, the movie is a highly anticipated one among fans given the major event that happened in the Season 3 finale.
Based on the teaser and the key visual, this movie’s story is set in Christmas – perfect given its December release.
In Japan, the upcoming movie will be released in cinemas on December 17, 2022. Currently, there’s no word yet on the list of cinemas where it will be released.
There’s also no info yet on whether the movie will get a cinema release outside Japan, though it is confirmed that the film will be released on Japanese TV following its cinema release.
