Jujutsu Kaisen’s second season is still months away, but fans have plenty to be excited about this month. Recently, TOHO animation highlighted its AnimeJapan 2023 lineup and confirmed the upcoming Jujutsu Kaisen “Shibuya Incident” stage event.

This update comes as part of TOHO animation’s 10th-anniversary celebration which will be part of AnimeJapan 2023.

Aside from the stage events, TOHO also revealed a special visual highlighting its popular titles.

TOHO’s new visual was shared recently via its official Twitter account, and it features a selection of popular titles, including the likes of My Hero Academia and Spy x Family.

Surprisingly, even shows like Onimai were given some love in the visual.

While most anime fans likely equate shows with their respective studios, production companies like TOHO animation are also a major force in these productions.

After all, companies like TOHO and Aniplex oversee bringing the project to life, including funding, among other duties.

In fact, it’s rare to see anime without the involvement of big production companies such as these.

Aside from the special anniversary visual, TOHO animation also confirmed that six stage events will take place at Japan’s premier anime event.

While Jujutsu Kaisen is no doubt the highlight, other shows will also take the stage.

These anime include big hits like Spy x Family, Psycho-Pass Providence, Dr. Stone, My Hero Academia, and Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation.

While there’s no word yet on what will be announced, fans can expect updates about the shows' upcoming seasons or new anime projects.

Given that these big-name VAs will take the stage, fans can expect more details about Season 2.

The stage event’s “Shibuya Incident” title is also pretty much a dead giveaway that the stage event will be about the upcoming season. After all, Season 2 will cover this game-changing arc.

For now, there’s no trailer yet for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2, though it’s likely that we will get a trailer for it at AnimeJapan 2023.

The Jujutsu Kaisen stage event is happening on March 25 from 12:45 PM to 1:20 PM JST at the AnimeJapan 2023 RED STAGE.

Meanwhile, Season 2 is confirmed to premiere in the Summer 23 season, though there’s no word yet on an official release date.
