After being on hiatus for over a month, the Jujutsu Kaisen manga is finally coming back!

This shōnen series by Gege Akutami began serialization in 2018 under Weekly Shōnen Jump. In 2020, an anime adaptation by MAPPA was aired. The show was incredibly well-received around the world, rising through the ranks as one of the most popular new generation series. Since the release of the anime, manga sales have also steadily increased, selling over 50 million copies.

Jujutsu Kaisen follows the story of Yūji Itadori—an ordinary 15-year-old high school student who gets dragged into the hidden world of sorcery and curses in modern-day Japan. After a series of events, he ends up becoming the vessel for Sukuna, the King of Curses. Yūji is then faced with a new life as a jujutsu sorcerer where he aims to fulfill his grandfather's last wish, which is to always help others.

It has been announced that Jujutsu Kaisen will be returning in the upcoming 35th issue of Weekly Shōnen Jump, to be released on August 2.

The last chapter released before the hiatus was Chapter 152. For fans who have already forgotten what exactly was about to happen next, in Chapter 153 we're finally advancing further into the Culling Game. It seems that we're also finally going to meet Hakari, a Tokyo Jujutsu High third-year.

Jujutsu Kaisen was on a month-long hiatus since the editors have advised Akutami to take a break for the sake of his health. The mangaka did mention back then that it was nothing serious, so we had nothing to worry about. Hopefully, he is well-rested now and ready to provide us with even more exciting content.
