Jujutsu Kaisen Manga Sales Increased Almost 600% Since Anime Release


There is little doubt that the Jujutsu Kaisen anime has introduced more people to the world of Jujutsu sorcerers. Interestingly, the series has also sparked worldwide interest in the source. A new report confirms that sales for Gege Akutami's manga have increased by almost 600% since the release of the anime.

According to Anime News Network, Shueisha confirmed that Jujutsu Kaisen Volume 16 will have 2 million copies. Moreover, the publisher revealed that the manga's total circulation has risen to over 50 million. This already includes print and digital copies, as well as copies not yet sold.

This is already great news on its own but the report further confirms that circulation for the manga has increased by 590%. In October 2020, which was when the anime premiered, Jujutsu Kaisen sold an amazing 8.5 million copies. Since then, sales have increased tremendously as more people are now interested in manga.

The breakdown of the Jujutsu Kaisen manga sales since the anime's release is listed as follows:

10 million on October 29
15 million on December 16
20 million on January 13 2021
25 million on January 26
30 million on February 9
35 million on March 4
40 million on March 31

That's an impressive feat and there is little doubt that fans are hoping to get more of Jujutsu Kaisen in the future.

The first season of Jujutsu Kaisen is currently airing on Toonami. Meanwhile, the manga's 16th volume will be shipped on Friday, June 4, 2021.
