Here's What Happened Before Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 220
Before the battle between Yorozu and Sukuna reaches its peak, Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 219 kicks off with a flashback.
In it, we observe a harvest festival long ago, when humans felt forced to show allegiance to Sukuna to maintain peace, although they hated and feared him.
Meanwhile, Yorozu was already showing signs of an obsessive love for Sukuna.
Back in the present, Yorozu expands her domain with the power of "True Unfettered Love."
In that domain, the perfect sphere Yorozu has created is guaranteed to hit Sukuna and make him vanish.
However, Sukuna manages to destroy the sphere without even expanding his domain.
Instead, he uses Eight-Handled Sword Divergent Sila Divine General Mahoraga, one of Megumi Fushiguro's Shikigami.
Sukuna explains that he knows Yorozu's weaknesses too well and was thus able to exploit them.
In a twisted way, his deep knowledge of her powers and weaknesses makes her die happy.
The chapter ends on a tragic note, with the narrator explaining that after taking Tsumiki's life, Megumi Fushiguro dies, with his soul sinking into the abyss.
This is a truly heartbreaking chapter and while fans might wish there was still hope for Megumi, his chances get slimmer each week.
