Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 178 Delayed, Gege Akutami Manga To Return Next Week

There is little doubt that fans are currently waiting for Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 178. After all, the previous chapter concluded on a major cliffhanger for Yuta Okkotsu and teased a jaw-dropping battle ahead. However, it looks like people will have to wait a little longer for the next part of the Sendai Colony arc. Several leaks confirm that the manga will be taking a short hiatus this week!

There are several leaks pointing out that Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 178 will not be featured in Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #15. Although the reason behind the delay was not revealed, it is confirmed that the manga will resume in next week's issue instead.

So why is Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 178 being pushed back to next week? There are speculations that Gege Akutami is once again dealing with some health issues and was not able to submit the chapter to the publisher on time.

This is no longer a huge surprise for Jujutsu Kaisen fans considering that Akutami has had health problems since about the same time last year. Although the mangaka had previously assured fans that they were getting enough rest and working on being healthier, there is possibly a lot of stress for Akutami to churn out a chapter on a weekly basis. Either way, people are supporting the creator and hoping they get enough rest so they could complete the chapter soon.

But what can we expect in Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 178? The previous chapter concluded with Yuta Okkotsu facing Ryu Ishigori in an epic fight. However, the chapter also concluded with Okkotsu summoning the Rika Curse, asking her to give him her full power. Needless to say, it's going to be an exciting chapter and one to look forward to next week.

Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 178 is expected to be published in Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #16, which will be out on March 21, 2022.
