Jujutsu Kaisen: MAPPA Celebrates Yuta Okkotsu Birthday With Awesome New Art


It's a great day for Jujutsu Kaisen fans! March 7th happens to be Yuta Okkotsu's birthday and fans are celebrating the talented sorcerer on his special day. Not surprisingly, even MAPPA is joining in on the fun by sharing an awesome new art featuring Yuta and his friends!

The MAPPA Twitter account shared the new artwork in celebration of Yuta Okkotsu's birthday. The illustration features Yuta with the cast of Jujutsu Kaisen 0. In the image, Yuta is holding a cake while the Rika Orimoto Curse looks on behind him. He is joined by his Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical School classmates Maki Zenin, Panda, and Toge Inumaki while Satoru Gojo stands in front of them. Check it out below.

We're loving the new illustration since it perfectly celebrates Yuta Okkotsu's birthday. In addition to that, it reminds fans of the cast of Jujutsu Kaisen 0 ahead of the film's North American theatrical release. Needless to say, it's a great way to celebrate Yuta's birthday this year.

In addition to the new artwork, MAPPA announced that there are limited-edition goods commemorating Yuta Okkotsu's birthday. WATCH OUT, JUJUTSU KAISEN CHAPTER 177 SPOILERS AHEAD!

Interestingly, the latest chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen was also all about Yuta Okkotsu as he faced off against Ishigoori. Chapter 177 also concluded with a panel showing Yuta wearing his ring and summoning Rika's full power. Needless to say, it's an awesome tease at something epic happening in the next chapter.

Fans are also hoping that Yuta Okkotsu will finally show up in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 when the anime returns in Winter 2023. However, it might not happen right away. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.

Tickets for Jujutsu Kaisen 0's North America release are now live. The movie will premiere in the US and Canada on March 18, 2022.
