A new report from Variety has shed some light on the musical elements of Joker 2: Folie à Deux.

According to their sources, the film will be "mostly a jukebox musical" and features at least 15 reinterpretations of “very well-known” songs with one of them being "That’s Entertainment" from the 1953 musical The Band Wagon.

It is also likely that they will include an original song (or two) in the final version that will be released.

Composer Hildur Guðnadóttir is also set to "infuse her distinctive, haunting [music] cues" into each number that the characters will perform.

It is an interesting tidbit about the film since it gives us more idea about the musical elements and it looks like they are taking the page of Moulin Rouge in their approach.

Since Lady Gaga is one of the leads, it is also likely that she will be taking charge of the musical elements and we have seen for many years that she is a talented musician and performer who can pull off the numbers.

For now, fans can look forward to the first trailer which may arrive very soon since it will give us a preview of what the musical numbers look like.

Joker 2: Folie à Deux is set to arrive in theaters this October 4.
