In a post on Instagram during yesterday's Valentine's Day, Joker: Folie à Deux director Todd Phillips shared new first-look images of the upcoming film featuring Phoenix and Gaga.

"Hoping your day is full of love. 10.4.24," he wrote in his caption.

The most notable photo among the batch is Phoenix's Joker and Gaga's Harley sharing a dance against a city backdrop that is reminiscent of old-school Hollywood musicals. It was also presented in black and white which likely hints at the film's visual style.

The other photos showed Gaga's Harley seemingly visiting Phoenix's Joker in the prison and smiling at him and the romantic duo standing against a black background.

While the new first-look images didn't give us an idea of its premise, it is still an exciting tease since it further shows us that the Joker and Harley relationship will be the centerpiece of the sequel.

We're also seeing more signs that it will indeed have a musical element as evidenced by the characters' dancing and it's interesting to see how they are going to integrate it into their grounded take on the iconic villain.

Now, we can look forward to its teaser trailer which will finally be released around mid-April, and give us more sneak peeks and previews of what we can anticipate in the upcoming sequel.

Joker: Folie à Deux is set to arrive in theaters this October 4.
