He may not be a Joestar, but Rohan Kishibe is easily one of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure's most popular characters. So, it’s good news for many fans that Shueisha is finally releasing the Rohan at the Louvre manga digitally in April.

For the longest time, this special one-shot spinoff was only available via a hardcover book that’s quite expensive for manga standards.

But this April, this special Rohan Kishibe story will be more accessible to fans in Japan. This might also pave the way for an English release down the line.

Rohan Kishibe is one of the major characters of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 4: Diamond Is Unbreakable.

Although he didn’t appear in the main storyline again, his story continued in a spinoff series titled Thus Spoke Rohan Kishibe.

While not strictly part of the series, Rohan at the Louvre is another manga spinoff that was released as part of a comic exhibition by the Louvre.

It has proven popular enough that a live-action adaptation is coming out on May 26.

This isn’t the first live-action adaptation of the Rohan Kishibe series though, as a mini-series was also released in 2020 which adapted several stories from the spinoff collection.

The live-action TV drama was released in Japan on NHK, but it didn’t get a release outside Japan.

Although, most of the Rohan Kishibe spinoff chapters are available on Shonen Jump digitally and in English.

Another option for JoJo fans to experience the spinoff is through the Thus Spoke Rohan Kishibe OVA, which is streaming on Netflix.

As a special release made specifically for the Louvre exhibition, Rohan at the Louvre was initially released on Ultra Jump back in 2010.

This was followed by hardcover releases in Japanese, English, and other languages.

For years, buying the hardcover was the only option for fans to read the manga legally, which wasn’t ideal given its cost.

Soon though, fans will be treated to a digital version release from Shueisha.

Specifically, Rohan at the Louvre will be available digitally in Japan on April 4. A paperback Japanese release will also be available on the same day.

Right now, there’s no word yet on an English digital or physical release. But the fact that it will be released on Shueisha’s Jump Comics imprint means we might see an English release from Viz Media in the future.
