Ballerina Release Date: When Will the John Wick Spin-off Come Out?
Ballerina is currently set for a summer 2024 release date - June 7, 2024, to be exact. The news came out on April 4, 2023, the Tuesday after John Wick: Chapter 4 earned more than $250 million worldwide.
When was Ballerina announced?
Ballerina was officially announced on April 2022, when John Wick: Parabellum took off, sealing the entire John Wick franchise as a hit.
Will there be a second Ballerina movie?
Ballerina is still under production, so there is still no news or plans about a second Ballerina movie.
Ballerina Cast and Characters: Who are the Actors Included in Ballerina?
There have been recent cast announcements for the spin-off film, Ballerina.
Unity Phelan was originally cast as the lead character for the film, which made a lot of sense since she was a professional ballet dancer. She is known for her work as a principal dancer with the New York City Ballet.
Ballerina’s protagonist was later re-casted, with Anna de Armas taking on the helm to play the main character, Ronney - a ballerina who is also a professionally trained assassin under the Ruska Roma. This is the same house that also trained the famed Baba Yaga, John Wick.
Some cast members from the earlier movies of the John Wick franchise will reprise their roles in the spin-off. This includes Keanu Reeves as John Wick, Anjelica Houston as The Director, and Ian Mcshane as Winston.
There will also be new actors joining in the action like Catalina Sandino Moreno, Gabriel Byrne from The Usual Suspects, and Norman Reedus from The Walking Dead.
Shamier Anderson will also be working on Ballerina.
Ballerina Crew: Who are the Creatives Behind the Scenes of the John Wick Spin-off Ballerina?
There is a killer group of creatives working together to bring Ballerina into the big screen.
Len Wiseman is the director behind the John Wick spin-off. Shay Hetten, who wrote the script for John Wick: Parabellum, will be working with Emerald Fennel to create the script for Ballerina working off of the characters Derek Kolstad created.
Ballerina was produced by Basil Iwanyk, Erica Lee, and John Wick franchise director Chad Stahelski.

Ballerina Plot: What Will be the Plot of the John Wick Spin-off?
Ballerina is an expansion of the John Wick universe, placing the spotlight on another child who grew up and was trained within the Ruska Roma, the same house that trained John Wick.
In the film, we will meet Rooney, a ballerina who trains and performs in under The Director while also being trained as an assassin.
