John Boyega Confirms Three Star Wars: The Last Jedi Cameos

Possible minor spoilers from Star Wars: The Last Jedi ahead.

Earlier this year, director/writer Rian Johnson teased the cameos of Prince Harry and William, and now, John Boyega has confirmed their cameos and another actor's in a recent interview with BBC Radio 4 (via Screen Daily). When whether the royals were given roles in the film, Boyega said that he's sick of hiding those secrets, and mentioned that Tom Hardy was also there. Here's what he said:

"I've had enough with those secrets. They came on set. They were there. I'm sick of hiding it. I think it was leaked, anyway. There were images. Every time I get asked, I have to dodge it. I'm tired of dodging it. They were there. So was Tom Hardy."

I'm more interested to see Hardy's cameo than the royals but chances are, we will never see their faces on the film as they will probably be playing masked stormtroopers, alien creatures, or Snoke's Praetorian guardian. A previous rumor claimed that Hardy will play a trooper who recognizes Boyega's Finn as FN-2187 from before Finn left the First Order. Here's the breakdown of that scene:

Finn will get quite the surprise as Hardy slaps him on the behind, completely unaware that he's been spotted.

Thinking's he been captured, Finn actually finds Hardy's stormtrooper just remembers him from the First Order's training days, and wants to catch up with his old friend.

Hardy then congratulates Finn on his apparent promotion as a Resistance Infiltrator, when actually he's on their side.

Of course, this isn't the first time big names were attached to Star Wars cameos. In The Force Awakens, Simon Pegg played Unkar Plutt and 007 star Daniel Craig played a stormtrooper that Rey whom Rey mindtricks into letting her escape from Starkiller Base. Craig recently discussed how he landed that cameo.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is set to hit theaters on December 15, 2017.
