Daniel Craig Explains How He Got A Secret Star Wars: The Force Awakens Cameo

Earlier this week, Daniel Craig announced during an appearance in The Late Show with Stephen Colbert that he will play James Bond for the last time in the next 007 film, which is set to release in theaters on November 2019.

In the same interview, Craig also told Stephen Colbert how he was able to land a cameo in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. When Colbert asked how the cameo was made, Craig joked, "I slept with J.J. Abrams." It turns out that Craig actually asked to be a part of it.

In The Force Awakens, Craig played the stormtrooper (cleverly named JB-007 by fans) whom Rey mindtricks into letting her escape from Starkiller Base. Prior to the movie's release, Craig denied rumors about his role in the film. You can watch Craig explain how he got the role around the 7:40 mark below:

Star Wars: The Last Jedi will probably feature secret cameos, and who knows? Maybe Craig will reprise his stormtrooper role or rather play one of Snoke's Praetorian Guardians.
