Jirisan (also known as Mount Jiri) is creating a stir from its premiere episode, which was aired on October 23, 2021.
According to Nielsen Korea, Jirisan dominated the weekend evening time slot immediately after its first episode’s airing with an average nationwide viewership rating of 9.1%. Jirisan also broke the previous record held by Kdrama Mr. Sunshine for the highest premiere ratings of a weekend drama in the history of tvN.
In addition, Jirisan now holds the record as the second-highest viewership ratings of any drama’s first episode in the whole tvN history. The No.1 spot is still protected by Hospital Playlist 2, with a nationwide viewership rating of 10.0%.

The series stars Jun Ji Hyun as Seo Yi Kang, a top ranger at Mount Jiri National Park who will eventually change her view of the mountain after meeting rookie ranger Hyun Jo. Ju Ji Hoon will portray the character of Kang Hyun Jo, the rookie ranger who will become the partner of Seo Yi Kang.
