Jessica, a former member of Girls Generation, will officially move forward with a new girl group.

The famous OT9 lost one of its members in 2014 when Jessica left the girl group. She focused on her fashion brand and works as a designer before leaving SM Entertainment for good the next year.

After the controversies surrounding her name, the former K-pop idol is about to debut in a China-based girl group.

Jessica To Become a Member of a Chinese Girl Group

Jessica recently scored second place on the Chinese TV competition show Sisters Who Make Waves.

The series featured 30 female celebrities whose ages are over 30. They competed against each other to debut in a new girl group.

She celebrated the feat by posting a photo of her on Instagram alongside the caption, “Unforgettable, precious memories were made this summer…Will cherish them forever. This one’s for you my #goldenstars.”

During the show’s finale, she became emotional as she received a video message from her younger sister, Krystal, who is a member of f(x).

Jessica will officially debut alongside Cyndi Wang, Kelly Yu, Tan Weiwei, Gillian Chung, Charlene Choi, Fiona Sit, Amber Kuo, Tang Shiyi, and Zhang Tianai.

Jessica To Earn Whopping Amount in China

Following Jessica’s continuous success in China, former entertainment reporter Lee Jin Ho shared a new video on his YouTube channel estimating the idol’s earnings once she makes her debut in China.

According to the YouTuber, she will likely earn around $922.5 million from the project.

“As season 1 received immense popularity, the market cap of Mango TV jumped 13 billion Yuan in 5 days. This is a huge amount equivalent to 2.5 trillion KRW (1.9 billion USD). Mango TV also saw an increase in stock price after the third season aired,” he explained.

With that, the former Girls Generation member will also earn popularity as she advertises her brand through her success in the country.
