Jason Momoa Teases Exciting DCU Future Amidst Massive Shakeup

Ever since James Gunn and Peter Safran took over the DC franchise, a lot of fans have been speculating about the plans they have in store for the new DCU and whether they will keep some of the players. We do know now that Henry Cavill will not continue as Superman as they will reboot the character in the new iteration.

One of the current players of the DCEU is Jason Momoa, who plays Aquaman and is set to return to the role in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom later this year. There have been speculations that he will exit the role and will take on the character of Lobo in the new DCU. Is there actually some truth to it?

In a recent Instagram story that he posted, Momoa fueled the speculation about his DCU future even further as he revealed with excitement that he recently met with Warner Bros. to talk about his future although he played coy about the details surrounding their meeting.

"Four years ago, I had the jeep out front... Y’all remember four years ago? I was screaming, wasn’t I? Screaming when I left Warner Bros. Everybody ready? Yahoo! Four years again. It’s a mystery, baby. I’ve got some really good news. Great news with Warner Bros. Amazing," he said in the video.

"Wish I could tell you, but here it is. Peter, I love you. James, I love you. David [Zaslav]. Okay. Mwah. To the future, to the future."

Momoa's excitement on the video poses a question on whether the meeting was DC Studios and Warner Bros. telling him that he will continue to play Aquaman in the new DCU or he will be playing Lobo instead, which is what everyone has been speculating.

Either way, it sounds like Momoa will be staying in the DCU for good despite the massive shakeup that is happening since he left the meeting with big glee and happily thanked the bosses at the studio. We should be able to find out the answer soon enough.
