X-Men actor James Marsden recently addressed his rumored cameo as Cyclops in the upcoming MCU film Deadpool and Wolverine.

For the past several months, there have been rumors that the original X-Men actors will be making appearances in Deadpool and Wolverine in the vein of Spider-Man: No Way Home.

So far, Marvel Studios remains mum on the rumors but we know that Hugh Jackman's Wolverine and Aaron Stanford's Pyro are confirmed to be part of the movie as revealed by the trailer.

In an interview with The Playlist, Marsden was asked about his rumored cameo appearance as Cyclops in Deadpool and Wolverine.

While he didn't give a direct answer, he acknowledged that he has been frequently asked about it lately.

"No, I keep hearing about [Deadpool and Wolverine]. I can’t walk down the street without someone asking me," he said.

Marsden did mention that he recently wrapped his work on Sonic the Hedgehog 3, which was shooting near the soundstages where Deadpool and Wolverine was also filming.

He teased, "Yeah, we just wrapped [Sonic 3]. We were near the Deadpool stages, actually."

Given the secrecy nature of working on an MCU movie, it is obvious that Marsden will not make any confirmation on his potential cameo in Deadpool and Wolverine and he will only discuss it once Marvel Studios makes it official.

His comments were still a good tease since he specifically indicated that he was working on another project near where the MCU movie was being filmed, which opened up a lot of speculations for fans to discuss.

For now, fans should wait and see whether Marsden will be one of the major X-Men cameos that we will see when we watch the film later this year.

Deadpool and Wolverine is set to arrive in theaters this July 26.
