A culmination of his movies in the MCU, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 brings James Gunn's last hoorah in the franchise and it is one hell of a movie.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is packed with the best action scenes and the most heartfelt story of all the movies he made in the MCU, including the jaw-dropping hallway fight scene.

Speaking with Marvel.com, James Gunn revealed that the idea for that hallway fight scene dates back to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1 which he never pulled off back then.

Gunn says, “I'm standing there with Dave Bautista and Chris Pratt. And Chris and Dave look over me, and they're like, James, we've never seen this scene.”

Gunn further explains, “I'm like, what? And they're like, ‘We've never seen this scene. We never rehearsed this scene. You can't have an actor come on and just do a scene as complicated as that.’ So, this is making up for that in spades.”

In the same interview, co-stunt coordinator Wayne Dalglish supports Gunn's goal for that scene, “James wanted to showcase a couple beats from each character, and it flows from character to character to character.”

Dalglish adds, “We thought it was fun, interesting, and entertaining which is what James wanted because it was a showcase for all of them. Once they do it, it comes to life.”

Heidi Moneymaker, stunt coordinator of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, reveals, “This was just a labor of love and passion for everybody on this set.”

Moneymaker stresses how long they prepared for it, “We had been planning it and working it out and redoing it and redoing it for like 6 months. The action’s really cool. The way that it’s shot is incredible."

In that scene, the Guardians have their own highlights in fighting against the pawns of the High Evolutionary which looked like a brawl of awesomeness.

To add to the effect, in the background plays No Sleep Till Brooklyn by Beastie Boys, and it is the perfect song choice for the hallway fight scene.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 features the final team-up of the Guardians before they all go separate ways and find and forge their own paths.

The Guardians face the High Evolutionary, a familiar villain for Rocket, whose life was on the line in the process.

Each of them found their respective paths in life after Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and the new Guardians are left to the hands of Rocket and Groot.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is now in theaters worldwide.
