James Gunn Finally Reveals Which Character He Played in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

At this point, everyone knows that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 had a LOT of cameos. However, it looks like even director James Gunn had a brief appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe sequel and he has just revealed which memorable character he actually played.

James Gunn has always been active on Twitter but the release of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 saw the filmmaker taking more time to answer important fan questions. For instance, one fan asked about his cameo in the film and Gunn was more than happy to oblige.

"I voiced the beautiful Lambshank. I don't want to show her here because she's too gorgeous & I don't want folks to feel bad about themselves in comparison," Gunn tweeted.

He also confirmed that Pete Davidson dropped by to visit the film's Atlanta set and "played Phlektik" in person.

We have already previously discussed Pete Davidson's MCU debut and the blob he portrayed in the movie. Interestingly, both Lambshank and Phlektik had memorable interactions with Mantis.

In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Mantis, Drax, and Nebula end up in the High Evolutionary's ship where they encounter a lot of the villain's creations.

Two of these creations evoke strong reactions from Mantis. Lambshank causes her to scream when she finds the creation behind her. Phlektik gets a similar reaction when the creations are released from their cages.

It's great to know that James Gunn himself make an appearance in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and although it wasn't an obvious thing for many of us to catch, we're still happy to finally know which character he played.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 brings back Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldaña, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Sean Gunn, Elizabeth Debicki, Maria Bakalova, and Sylvester Stallone.

Chukwudi Iwuji and Will Poulter join the cast as the High Evolutionary and Adam Warlock, respectively.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is now screening in theaters worldwide.
