The Suicide Squad Star Pete Davidson Makes MCU Debut in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

There is little doubt that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 had a lot of awesome surprises. But the funniest and most unexpected one might be Pete Davidson finally making his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut as a truly memorable character.

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3 SPOILERS BELOW, PROCEED WITH CAUTION!

In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Drax, Mantis, and Nebula discover that the High Evolutionary had stowed hundreds of imprisoned children and other creations. Once they were able to free the children, Mantis works to free the other creations.

One particular creation is a scary blob and Mantis is so surprised by its appearance that she screams but quickly apologizes, claiming that she was looking at something behind it. The blob named Phlektik thanks her and gets out of its cage.

Phlektik certainly looks memorable and if it sounds familiar, that's because it is voiced by Pete Davidson.

James Gunn confirmed that Pete Davidson has a cameo in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. The director even went as far as to say that Davidson will be hard to spot in the film.

Still, nobody expected the Suicide Squad star to show up as a hideously adorable blob. Nevertheless, it's great to know that Davidson is now a part of the MCU.

Another notable cameo was Tara Strong, who is best known for providing the voice of Miss Minutes in Loki. Strong took over the role of Mainframe, the Ravager who was originally played by Miley Cyrus in one of the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 mid-credits scenes.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 brings back Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldaña, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Sean Gunn, Elizabeth Debicki, Maria Bakalova, and Sylvester Stallone. Chukwudi Iwuji and Will Poulter join the cast as the High Evolutionary and Adam Warlock, respectively.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is now screening in theaters worldwide.
