IU still has one more present to offer her fans this year.

From the TV to the music industry, IU surely established a notable empire no one had beaten yet. Although it took her nearly three years before she came back with a full-length album, she did not disappoint — as usual — earlier this year.

The young singer finally dropped LILAC as the successor of her 2017 Palette this 2021. The new album marked the beginning of a new phase in her life, as lilac means memories of youth.

After spoiling her fans with a 10-track project, she hyped them again with a cryptic message last month, telling her fans, meet again when strawberry moon comes up.

A few weeks after posting the message, IU finally unveiled the real meaning behind the image.

Following her teaser images this month, IU shared the short lyric teaser for her new single, Strawberry Moon. On her Twitter account, the singer shows an aesthetic clip featuring herself while chanting a short lyric. A spell-like aurora lifts her from the ground inside a pink room.

The video followed a slew of teaser materials before the most-awaited arrival of the single on October 19.

After hearing the short sample of the song, fans expressed their excitement on finally hearing the full version of IU's new song.

Aside from blessing everyone with her voice, IU notably does charitable works from time to time, as well.

Last month, she celebrated her 13th debut anniversary by launching a good cause. Her agency, EDAM Entertainment, confirmed that the singer partnered with several brands she endorses to help those in need. The brands that helped her were Banolim Pizza, New Balance, GNAL-N, Jeju Samdasoo, Evezaly, and BLACKYAK.

According to the agency, IU donated $720,000 of products to people. This reportedly includes winter coats for young children and teenagers, 30,000 water bottles to 20 COVID-19 clinics in Seoul, and bedding sets for single-mothers.
