What Is The Plot For The Morning Show Season 2 Episode?

The Morning Show Season 2 Episode 3 will center on a new character named Laura Peterson, played by Julianna Margulies.

Laura will be spending most of her time with the UBA crew, but her confidence won't sit well with everyone.

What Happens To Mitch In The Morning Show Season 2 Episode 3?

Audiences can't also wait to learn how Mitch (Steve Carrell) will factor into The Morning Show Season 2 Episode 3's plot.

We all know that Mitch isn't going anywhere, and he was briefly shown in the final scene from The Morning Show Season 2 Episode 2. So, does this mean that we will see more of him starting Episode 3?

Will COVID-19 Be Explored In The Morning Show Season 2 Episode 3?

The Morning Show Season 2 Episode 2 shed light on the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. And it's possible for the global health crisis to continue to dominate the storylines in the upcoming episodes.

While speaking with Decider, The Morning Show executive producer and director Mimi Leder explained why they felt the need to tackle the important issue.

According to Leder, the cast and crew have already started filming for The Morning Show Season 2 for 13 days when the COVID-19 pandemic hit the country. So, they were forced to throw away the scripts that they've written beforehand.

"It was very important to talk about COVID and the tidal wave that was approaching. [The Morning Show creator and showrunner] Kerry [Ehrin] came up with the idea of starting it basically three months before the shutdown," Leder said.

The Morning Show star Mark Duplass added that writing the COVID-19 storyline in Season 2 just made sense for the hit TV series.

"It made sense to me insofar as [this is] the way this show has happened since Season 1. Which is they had a full set of scripts for Season 1. The #MeToo movement happened right as we were about to start shooting and they decided to rewrite the entire season to incorporate the immediacy of the moment, of what was happening. They like to examine issues as they're happing as opposed to after they happened and get inside the grey area and go with it real-time. Which I applaud them for. So, it made sense that they would do the same thing for the COVID storyline," he said.

With this, fans of The Morning Show can expect to see more storylines tackling the COVID-19 pandemic and how it's affecting the staff and crew at UBA.
