The long wait is over for fans of The Morning Show because, after almost two years, Season 2 is finally coming.

Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon were supposed to reprise their roles as Alex Levy and Bradley Jackson, respectively in November 2020. But because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the production for The Morning Show was delayed.

Consequently, the premiere for the Apple TV+ hit was moved to Friday, Sept. 17.

What to expect from The Morning Show Season 2?

The Morning Show Season 2 will take off where Season 1 left off, and there have been speculations about Steve Carell's character, Mitch Kessler.

In the finale episode, Mitch was fired from TMS following a series of #MeToo offenses. So, for a time, there were whispers that Carell might no longer reprise his role in The Morning Show Season 2.

Last year, showrunner Kerry Ehrin added to the speculations after she confirmed that Carell hasn't signed on for Season 2.

"It's in the works, but it's not a done deal yet. That's all I can say. But I would very much like him to be and I think that continuing that story is actually important," she told The Hollywood Reporter.

In Season 2, Mitch will come to terms with the realization that he isn't a good person. And according to Ehrin, the character's story arc won't be about a comeback.

Alex Levy, Bradley Jackson will butt heads

Other than Carell's character, fans are also looking forward to seeing more of Aniston and Witherspoon in the hit series.

The co-stars' storylines will partly revolve around the COVID-19 pandemic.

But Alex and Bradley will also face more struggles in Season 2 than ever before. The characters will also make some big decisions throughout the season.

In the trailer released by the streaming platform, Alex and Bradley get into arguments multiple times. Their loyalties are also tested while dealing with issues of racism, as well as their power struggles.

Also in the clip, Mitch isolates himself while everyone attacks him for what he has done.
