Invincible, a new, fascinating superheroes animation that has already become a favorite among Amazon Prime Video users. Although Season 1 has ended at 8 episodes, Season 2 and, amazingly, Season 3 as well, have already been announced. Of course, animation takes time, so we might have to wait a while. So, is there a comic for those who can't wait for more Invincible content?

For those who felt the ending for the punch that it was, Season 2 can't come soon enough. The good news is that, as with most superheroes franchises, Invincible is indeed based on a comic, which will keep you company while waiting. The comic series is written by Robert Kirkman—also the author of The Walking Dead, with Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley as illustrators. It was published by Image Comics.

Invincible follows 17-year-old Mark Greyson, son of Nolan, also known as Omni-Man, the strongest superhero on Earth. This is quite a legacy to live up to. When Mark develops powers of his own and starts his superhero career as Invincible, he has to depend on his father for guidance—until he finds out Nolan's legacy might not be as spotless as he had thought.

Both show and comic use familiar superhero tropes, but the story Invincible has to tell, has become popular for good reason. This is an adult show, with mature themes, such as an exploration of a power struggle between overpowered individuals and its consequences. While some pitfalls are inevitable, the story is genuine in its characterization, featuring morally grey individuals who make realistic choices.

For those who want to delve into this interesting premise immediately and don't like waiting, we have some good news: the comic series, which started being published in 2003, concluded in 2018 with a total of 144 volumes. The comic's completed status means you can binge it immediately.

For those who have already read Invincible and want more, it is currently not known if any more Invincible content can be expected. However, if you enjoyed it, you can also check out Kirkman's current ongoing projects, including Oblivion Song and Fire Power.
