Now, we have some information about Mephisto's storyline in his MCU debut thanks to a report from The Cosmic Circus. Based on what they claimed, it sounds like the character's appearance will be a game-changer as it will resolve one of the unanswered questions in the MCU.

According to the report, the series will reveal that it was Mephisto who bought the Avengers Tower in New York City from Tony Stark. It is unknown yet if the deceased Avenger was aware that he was making a deal with the devil.

They also claimed that Mephisto will have a strong villainous presence in the series as they will explore the theme of "magic vs. technology" with the character casting a shadow in the latter.

The character will also appear mostly in a humanoid look wearing business attire and will appear in his demonic form occasionally during the series. Tom Ellis' Lucifer is said to be the inspiration for the look.

We do have to point out that Marvel Studios has not confirmed this scoop yet so we still have to take it with a grain of salt, but the site has a strong track record so there is validity to the rumor.

Ever since WandaVision aired, a lot of MCU fans have been clamoring for the character's debut and now it looks like that is finally coming to reality as the Riri Williams-led series will seemingly introduce the demonic character.

However, it does also pose a question regarding why Mephisto is appearing in the MCU at this point and how he'll play in its future. We can definitely bet that it won't be a one-project appearance and he will be a continuous presence in the next few years.

The franchise has also been exploring the universe's supernatural side in the past few years and Mephisto will definitely bring it to another level. It won't be surprising if he'll also shows up in other projects that have supernatural themes.

We should be hearing more updates about this in the coming months as we're getting closer to the series.
