Rumors are rife that the much-awaited iPhone SE 3 would be launched sometime between April and May this year, which would be in line with the release of the iPhone SE 2 in 2020. However, Bloomberg claimed that the Cupertino-based tech company could likely drop it alongside the iPad Air 5 on March 8.

Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo surprisingly claimed that Apple is planning to launch another variant of the forthcoming iPhone SE 3 that comes with a larger display. The new budget smartphone from Apple is expected to have a showdown with the Google Pixel 5a and Google Pixel 6a, which are also packed with impressive specs and features.

As for the price, it is being suggested that the iPhone SE 3 would cost around $399. However, other sources claimed that Apple could go for a higher price given that its new budget phone is 5G ready and comes with the A15 Bionic chip.
One leaker stated that iPhone SE 3 could cost $542. JP Morgan analyst Samik Chatterjee, however, noted that the starting price of the new Apple budget phone could range between $269 and $399. Should the tech giant choose to go for a lower price, there is a huge possibility that iPhone SE 3 could very much sell in huge numbers.

Another rumored key upgrade for iPhone SE 3 is 5G connectivity. Apple’s competitors, Samsung and Google, already have cheap 5G phones of their own, which makes it a no-brainer for any phone to be released in 2022.
Macotakara shared that iPhone SE 3 is very unlikely to offer MagSafe wireless charging, which is available on iPhone 13. However, the tech giant would continue to support regular Qi wireless charging.
In terms of design, the iPhone SE 3 is expected to sport the same design as the latest iPhone SE. In other words, fans could see a physical Touch ID button, chunky bezels, and a 4.7-inch display.
