Devoted followers of the game franchise were in cloud nine after a trailer of TES 6 was released in 2018, proving that the game actually existed. However, there has not been much news on news of the title since then.

As a matter of fact, there was not even much of an update about The Elder Scrolls 6 during the recent E3, prompting some to speculate or make theories on what could they expect in the imminent sixth installment of the franchise. But, everything is taken with a grain of salt since Bethesda has not confirmed or denied anything up to this writing.

As of late, Bethesda has not yet announced an official release date for The Elder Scrolls 6. The only thing most fans know is that TES 6 would come after Starfield. Bethesda director Todd Howard revealed that the much-awaited video game is still in its design phase, which is one of the first phases of developing a game.

In an interview with Geoff Knightley, Todd Howard said:

“I would say The Elder Scrolls 6 is in pre-production, and Starfield is in production. Starfield is playable. The Elder Scrolls 6? Not in that way yet.”

As for its location, reports have it that The Elder Scrolls 6 could take place in Black Rock, which is the home of mage-centric Bretons, or in Hammerfell, where warrior-like Redguards live. The Elder Scrolls 6 Gameplay, Exclusivity And Outlook

Since there is no game footage released for The Elder Scrolls 6 until now, avid followers of the franchise can only guess that it would likely be similar to the core game elements of Skyrim. TES 6 would likely be a massive open-world game where players can freely poke around fortresses and towers, explore the depths of cave systems and climb up mountains.

Based on its predecessors, it is safe to say that The Elder Scrolls 6 could become a much-improved version of the Skyrim game. It is also expected to look spectacular, especially since it is allegedly still very much an Elder Scrolls game at its core.

The Elder Scrolls 6 is rumored to be limited to just Xbox consoles and Windows 10 personal computers unlike Skyrim, which was made available on multiple platforms. Phil Spencer previously told GQ:

"It’s not about punishing any other platform, like I fundamentally believe all of the platforms can continue to grow. But in order to be on Xbox, I want us to be able to bring the full complete package of what we have. And that would be true when I think about Elder Scrolls VI. That would be true when I think about any of our franchises."

In other words, The Elder Scrolls 6 would not come in PlayStation 5. Meanwhile, it is hard to predict the outlook of TES 6 due to the scarcity of concrete information about the game.
