Things were already looking quite promising as the fifth installment in the legendary Indiana Jones film series began production last month but things took an ugly turn when news broke out that lead star Harrison Ford sustained a shoulder injury while rehearsing one of his fight scenes on set. Disney has addressed the matter but didn't exactly disclose the extent of Ford's nasty injury.

Several reports have surfaced online claiming that the production for the yet-to-be-titled Indiana Jones 5 was set to face a six-week delay. Some even said that the film has been shut down altogether but director James Mangold himself has come out to dismiss rumors surrounding the project and even assured fans that cameras haven't stopped rolling despite what happened to the acting legend.

Now, weeks after sustaining the injury, Ford has been spotted in London sporting an arm sling. It doesn't exactly confirm the severity of his condition but it's safe to assume that the 78-year-old actor is dealing with a lot of pain and discomfort right now. But you know what they say, you can't keep a good man down. Check out the image here.

Hopefully, the Star Wars icon is well on his way to recovery and will once again be in tiptop shape as he prepares to return filming. Again, the unfortunate incident should serve as a huge wake-up call not only for Lucasfilm but for production outfits, in general, to prioritize their safety standards to avoid another incident that could potentially lead to more problems for their actors and stunt personnel.

Indiana Jones 5 is scheduled for release on July 29, 2022.
