Meet Joe Higan: Ninja Kamui's Mysterious Ninja
Joe is the main protagonist of Ninja Kamui. He was once a ninja who turned his back on his clan’s violent ways and lived in rural America alongside his wife, Mari, and their only child, Ren.
Joe and his small family were leading a serene life until one night, his dark past made a brutal comeback and crushed his peaceful existence.
His wife and son were mercilessly murdered while he was also grievously wounded because of the attack.
Miraculously, Joe was the sole survivor of the deadly ambush. He was declared dead, but he emerged from what appeared to be his demise.
Now, Joe reclaims his identity as Ninja Kamui, driven by the need to seek vengeance for Mari and Ren.

How Strong Is Joe Higan in Ninja Kamui?
We are two episodes in Ninja Kamui, and it is mighty clear just how strong Joe is in the series.
Despite being stabbed by the evil ninjas, Joe was able to revive himself.
The first two episodes so far have depicted Joe as an extremely swift ninja who is excellent with a blade in battle.
He is also shown using a mysterious smoke-like ability that helps disorient his opponents and gives his existing powers a boost.
The smoke-like ability is a ninja art known as the Secret Stark of Awareness, but it is revealed that using it repeatedly can massively affect the ninja’s body.
Meanwhile, his strength is also showcased when he knocks out a corrupt cop without even touching him.
In the second episode, when Joe is confronted by a ninja disguised as a delivery boy, he effortlessly uses the Secret Stark of Awareness and defeats the opponent.
Up to this point, Joe has proven himself to be an unstoppable force against his clan, and viewers can anticipate further revelations of his powers and abilities in the upcoming episodes of Ninja Kamui.
