Who Is Joe Higan in Ninja Kamui?
Joe Logan, also known as Higan, is the main character of Ninja Kamui. He is a former ninja who abandoned his clan and their violent ways to live peacefully in the rural US with his wife Mari and their only child Ren.
He changed his facial features to escape from the organization, thanks to a masking system developed by Mari herself.
Unfortunately, the ninja organization figured everything out, which led to the end of Joe’s family.
Only Joe survived the ambush, which forced him to re-emerge as his former self, the Ninja Kamui.
He is on a bloody path of revenge, set on getting retribution against the very clan that once supported him in the past.
There’s only one way for Joe to achieve retribution, and that is to finish every member of his former organization. Will Joe die before he can accomplish his goal in the end? Stay tuned.

In the first episode of Ninja Kamui, Joe Higan showed his combat prowess against the group of murderous assassins who killed his wife and child.
We get to see him fight in his house and even in the hospital, defeating one assassin after another.
As Joe fights these assassins, he is shown using a smoke-like power that not only confuses his opponents but also boosts his combat abilities.
When Joe used this smoke-like power, he was able to overpower the leader of the assassins and defeat him.
This smoke-like power is a secret ninja art called the Secret Stark of Awareness, which is passed down to Higan’s ninja clan.
It’s a deadly ninja art that can take a huge toll on the user’s body if used more than once.
Under no circumstances should anyone, including Joe, expose the secret of this ninja art. However, foreigners learned about this secret ninja art after Japan fell under the command of a greater power.
