After a season-long break, the second cour of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 2 is going strong. The first quarter was taken up by battle plans and war councils but epic battles are expected soon according to manga and light novel fans, and Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken fans are here for it. So, how many more episodes of awesomeness can we expect?

The first part of Season 2 was devastating for fans and characters alike. Despite the legendary powers that make him one of the strongest anime characters ever created, Rimuru was powerless to save his friends when Tempest was attacked in his absence.

Heartbroken over the destruction of the home he worked so hard for and the loss of many loved ones and allies, including his good friend Shion, Rimuru came up with an unorthodox plan. Following a legend with slim chances of success, he attempted to rise as a true Demon Lord – a role that comes with unique powers and privileges, including the ability to resurrect the dead.

Season 2 Part 1 reached a joyful end when a successful Rimuru brought his friends back, fulfilled his promise to the dragon Veldora, and rolled up his sleeves to rebuild a stronger Tempest.

Part 2 opened with festivities over Rimuru's new status and the resurrection of the residents of Tempest, but this is not to say there's not important work ahead. The monsters now plan to go on the offensive against Clayman, but problems seem to pile up again.

With many episodes being almost entirely devoted to conversations between Rimuru and his allies about future plans (plus many episodes of the previous cour devoted to a lengthy battle), it's safe to say that the weekly format might not be the best for the otherwise stellar isekai. Especially as the English dub approaches, many fans will want to know when the season will wrap up, so that they can binge it all at once, and get the most out of it.

According to the popular anime database MyAnimeList, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 2 Part 2 will have 12 episodes, just like Part 1. This might seem too few, but it says nothing about future content, given that there's still plenty of manga and light novel material to cover, so a Season 3 could be on the table at some point soon.

Other isekai anime you can watch this season include Sonny Boy, a completely unique take on the isekai genre, and My Next Life as a Villainess.
