How Does The Mandalorian Season 3 Finale Set Up Ahsoka?

The Mandalorian is so perfectly placed in the timeline of Star Wars that it connects what exactly happened between the original and sequel trilogy of the franchise.

As Ahsoka enters the turf and introduce Star Wars Rebels characters into the fold of the live-action releases, The Mandalorian Season 3 finale sets up the upcoming series in a big way.

The Mandalorian Season 3 Episode 8, the finale, Chapter 24: The Return, finally sets up the new adventures of Din Djarin and Grogu, now called Din Grogu, after the proud Mando adopts him officially.

As Din Djarin and Din Grogu go out on their journeys, before leaving, Din Djarin negotiates to Captain Carson Teva a new role to fulfill for the New Republic: an off-the-books Ranger.

This means that Din Djarin would be tracking and taking down the remnants of the Imperial which could lead to the events of The Mandalorian Season 4.

Not only will it give way for The Mandalorian Season 4 but it also teases a possible reunion with Ahsoka Tano and further confrontations with Grand Admiral Thrawn.

With the confirmation of Lars Mikkelsen suiting up as Grand Admiral Thrwan in the upcoming Ahsoka series, there is a huge possibility that Din Djarin could meet up with Ahsoka or the other members of the Star Wars Rebels.

Similar to the appearance of Ahsoka Tano in The Mandalorian Season 2, Din Djarin is possible to be in the former's series, too.

Whilst possibly being a limited one, their common interests of Thrawn being the enemy could bring them closer together.

Also, with Din Djarin as a Ranger of the New Republic, even if he would be off-the-books, that gives him a direct line to Garazeb "Zeb" Orrelios, who is an important member of the Ghost crew.

All these added up, The Mandalorian Season 3 finale just set up Ahsoka big time!

All the episodes of The Mandalorian Season 3 are now available to stream on Disney Plus!
