House of the Dragon Possibly Confirmed Which Game of Thrones Spin-off Will Be Released Next

People can't stop talking about the huge Easter egg in House of the Dragon which revealed the truth about the Song of Ice and Fire. However, there was another subtle Easter egg in the prequel series that referenced what could be the next Game of Thrones spin-off. In addition to that, it happens to have a cool connection to Arya Stark!

In House of the Dragon Episode 1, the young Alicent Hightower studies Westerosi history while Rhaenyra Targaryen is disinterested. Alicent asks Rhaenyra questions about Princess Nymeria but Rhaenyra gives vague answers. However, when Alicent begins to walk away, Rhaenyra provides all the information about the historical princess, mentioning the 10,000 ships she led to Dorne where she took Lord Mors Martell. Rhaenyra also confirmed that Nymeria burned off her own fleet to prove that they have found their new home.

It's a nice scene proving that Rhaenyra is smart but it's also an interesting topic to discuss considering that Princess Nymeria's story is the focus of another Game of Thrones spin-off 10,000 Ships that is still in development. If Nymeria is being referenced in House of the Dragon, there's a possibility that it will be the next show to begin production.

Princess Nymeria hardly needs an introduction. After all, she is one of the best-known characters in A Song of Ice and Fire, her story being passed down as an amazing legend throughout Westeros. Nymeria may not have been in Game of Thrones but she had two namesakes in the series. Arya Stark named her direwolf after the princess and the Sand Snake Nym was named after her as well. At one point, Arya even mentioned the princess herself.

For now, it has not yet been confirmed whether 10,000 Ships will be the next Game of Thrones series. In the meantime, House of the Dragon Season 2 has been officially announced.
