House of the Dragon Fans Enraged Over Powerful Deleted Baela Scene

There is little doubt that there were a lot of scenes that didn't make the final cut in the first season of House of the Dragon. For instance, Alicent Hightower's wedding was not shown in the series although Emily Carey wore a magnificent gown for the scene. Now, showrunner Ryan Condal has shared a deleted scene featuring Baela Targaryen and Rhaenys Velaryon, and it is so powerful that fans are infuriated about the fact that it wasn't in the season finale.

Ryan Condal reportedly revealed the deleted scene which has been shared all over social media. The scene features Bethany Antonia as Baela and Eve Best as Rhaenys discussing the actions that needed to be taken after the Greens usurped Rhaenyra Targaryen. Amazingly, Baela appears to be ready for war, insisting that they need to defend the queen.

It's a powerful scene that would have proven that Baela is more than just a sweet princess who cowers in fear at the thought of war, and she is similar to her own mother Laena Velaryon. Unfortunately, the scene was not included in the season finale and people are not happy about that.

Although Baela didn't get to give her powerful speech in the first season of House of the Dragon, fans are already expecting her to play a bigger role in Season 2. After all, it would mean that we will finally get to see her on her dragon Moondancer. With that in mind, we can't wait for the premiere of the second season sometime in 2024.

For now, House of the Dragon Season 2 has not yet been given an official release date. However, the series is already expected to begin production early next year and will be set to return on HBO sometime in 2024. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
