House of the Dragon Actor Ty Tennant Trolled by Doctor Who Star David Tennant

There is little doubt that Ty Tennant is finally getting the attention he deserves after his memorable performance in House of the Dragon. Still, that hasn't stopped his own parents from poking fun at his newfound fame. A new photo confirms that Ty still got trolled by his father, Doctor Who star David Tennant.

Georgia Tennant (née Moffett) recently shared a hilarious picture on her official Twitter account. The image shows her son Ty Tennant meeting fans at the London Comic Con while her husband David Tennant holds a sign that says, "He's not that special!" Check it out below.

This might look like simple parental ribbing but it's actually an ongoing Doctor Who tradition. Georgia's father Peter Davison (the Fifth Doctor) used to hold the same sign during his son-in-law's fan signings. Now that Ty is attending fan signings of his own, it's only natural for David to do the same to his son.

It's a hilarious tradition and one that we hope to see more of in the future, even though Ty Tennant's time with House of the Dragon is over. Hopefully, he'll be attending more fan signings that his parents can crash soon.

Ty Tennant played Prince Aegon II Targaryen in House of the Dragon Episodes 6 and 7. He is the son of David and Georgia Tennant, and the grandson of Peter Davison, all of whom have played major roles in Doctor Who.

Meanwhile, David Tennant is set to return to Doctor Who after the special feature The Power of the Doctor revealed that the Fourteenth Doctor is actually the Tenth Doctor. Tennant is set to return in the next season of the series before he regenerates into the Fifteenth Doctor who will be played by Ncuti Gatwa.
