The perfect Christmas gift for any House of the Dragon fan is coming in December. The House of the Dragon Season 1 Blu-ray finally got a release date and we just learned about the awesome special features that will come with the package.
HBO has announced that the House of the Dragon Season 1 Blu-ray will be released on December 20, 2022. However, it is now available for pre-order on Amazon.
For now, House of the Dragon: The Complete First Season is already available for purchase on digital. Both the digital and physical releases will include over an hour of bonus features and two never-before-seen featurettes.
As for the physical release, it will come in many forms. This includes a 4K UHD Steelbook special edition that already includes the Blu-ray as well as the standard releases in 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD.

While we're loving the idea of getting the House of the Dragon Season 1 DVD and Blu-ray, we're also wondering when we'll get to see the show's second season. Unfortunately, fans will have to wait a little longer for the Game of Thrones prequel's Season 2.
It was previously reported that HBO Max chief content officer Casey Bloys is expecting House of the Dragon Season 2 to be released sometime in 2024. According to Bloys, late 2023 is too hopeful and it would be safer to go for a later date.
House of the Dragon: The Complete First Season Blu-ray and DVD will be released on December 20, 2022. House of the Dragon Season 2 has not yet been given an official release date.
