House of the Dragon Episode 10 Possibly Teased 'Dead' Character's Season 2 Return

It may have leaked late last week but House of the Dragon Episode 10 still managed to shock viewers when it officially premiered on Sunday. However, The Black Queen also provided some pleasant surprises like the return of Lord Corlys Velaryon. But did the series also tease the possible reappearance of a "dead" character in House of the Dragon Season 2?

In House of the Dragon Episode 10, the newly crowned Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen gathers her Small Council for a meeting to find allies who will support their cause. Lord Bartimos Celtigar then points out that the Blacks have an advantage for having dragons. At this point, Daemon Targaryen enumerates the riderless dragons starting with Seasmoke who still resides on Driftmark.

We all know the reason why Seasmoke is currently riderless. In Episode 7, Rhaenyra and Daemon conspired to kill her husband Laenor Velaryon although it is later revealed that Laenor had faked his death and fled Driftmark with his lover Ser Qarl Correy.

Now here's where things could get interesting. A fan theory suggests that Seasmoke will accept a new dragonrider named Addam of Hull not because the boy is Laenor's bastard but because Addam is actually Laenor himself returning to support his former wife. It's a long shot considering that Addam is supposed to be a teenager but House of the Dragon could go the Game of Thrones route and give the boy's storyline to Laenor instead.

For now, it has not yet been confirmed whether Laenor Velaryon will return in House of the Dragon Season 2. However, we could get new updates on the show soon.

House of the Dragon Season 2 has already been confirmed but the show's next chapter has not yet been given an official release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
