Numerous K-drama fans are going crazy over the Hospital Playlist series. Due to its popularity, tvN renewed the show for another installment. However, some netizens have expressed their dismay on Hospital Playlist Season 2 Episode 7 as the story is, allegedly, getting "boring."
Hospital Playlist Season 2 Episode 7 Is Reportedly 'Boring'
Avid followers of the series, which follows the Prison Playbook, were not pleased in the recently aired Hospital Playlist Season 2 Episode 7. A number of K-netizens shared that the story seemed to focus more on only one character.
For starters, Hospital Playlist centers on the story of five characters portrayed by Jeon Mi Do, Kim Dae Myung, Jung Kyung Ho, Yoo Yeon Seok and Jo Jung Suk. However, viewers noticed that the latest episode, which aired on August 5, did not touch so much on other main characters.
"The writer needs to do something about their storytelling style... this season is so boring," one netizen said, as per AllKpop. "I don't really have a favorite character or couple, I just watch it for the story, and I'm disappointed that they are playing up the romance aspect too much," another fan wrote.
"For some reason season 2 is more cringey and it feels like they're forcing viewers to focus on certain 'lessons' or 'takeaways,'" a source stated. "Personally, I've noticed this in a lot of Shin Won Ho productions. When the characters aren't dating yet, the story is somehow fun and exciting. But once they start dating, it becomes boring," a fourth netizen added.

Hospital Playlist Season 2 Episode 7 Recap
The latest episode of the trending South Korean drama series featured patient Du Na going through a long rehabilitation process. While the patient's mother is very supportive of her road to recovery, it is palpable that the patient is really struggling in Hospital Playlist Season 2 Episode 7.
Ik Jun, then, told the patient that she will need a liver transplant. While the liver will come from the patient's father, the family members raised some concerns, including the doctors' experience and credibility. Future episodes after Hospital Playlist Season 2 Episode 7 are likely to reveal the patient and her family's next move.
In the latter part of Hospital Playlist Season 2 Episode 7, Ik Jun and Song Hwa were seen having lunch together. As they enjoy their meals, Song Hwa noticed how popular Ik Jun is at the hospital.
Ik Jun also agreed to go camping with his son, U Ju, and Song Hwa will join them. The pair also enjoyed drinking beers outside their workplace, where Song Hwa talked about the things she hates about her own mother and the guilt she feels whenever she becomes irritated. She, later, started reminiscing how Ik Jun played a guitar song during their younger days.
Hospital Playlist Season 2 Episode 7 also featured Min Ha bumping into a visitor, who smeared her lipstick. Min Ha got pissed that she called the old lady a "granny." Little did she know, the visitor was actually the mother of Yang Seok Hyeong. Min Ha has been trying to win Seok Hyeong's heart.
But, what will happen if Seok Hyeong finds out how Min Ha treated his mom? That is something viewers should watch out for in the upcoming episodes.

As for the ratings, the Hospital Playlist Season 2 Episode 7 garnered an average viewership rating of 10.6%, which is the same range as the average viewership rating of its first episode aired on June 17 with 10%.
Is Hospital Playlist Season 3 happening?
With the storyline allegedly getting "boring" and the current viewership rating it has been getting, many fans are wondering if the show will be renewed for another installment. As of this writing, tvN has not yet released any official announcement that Hospital Playlist Season 3 is really happening.
Director Shin Won Ho previously revealed that the creative team has been thinking about Hospital Playlist Season 3. However, there are still no concrete plans to extend the series.
"[Three seasons] is the sort of timeline we originally had in mind. This is my first attempt at a seasonal series so I've come across a lot of new challenges and limitations. There are a lot of pros, but also some cons that we were not able to foresee. I've told the cast members a third season is not definite, so they can feel free to schedule whatever projects they want to do."
