Kris Wu Allegedly Attempted To Commit Suicide
An unverified Weibo user claimed that Kris Wu had committed suicide and it is, currently, being investigated. Netizens were quick to pick up the disturbing rumor and it effortlessly became a hot topic on social media.
Devoted followers of Kris Wu were saddened after learning about his alleged suicide attempt. Though there are no enough pieces of evidence to back up the claim, numerous Twitter users have been reposting the shocking news.
While some believe that Kris Wu possibly attempted to commit suicide because of sexual assault and rape allegations he is facing at present, many encouraged other netizens to stop spreading the rumor since it remains unconfirmed until now.
The person, who first posted the news about Kris Wu's attempt to commit suicide on Twitter, explained that he deleted his tweet so it would no longer cause misunderstanding and discombobulation among fans. He clarified that the news he posted was just a rumor, which is why he used included the word "apparently" in his tweet.
"Referring to deleted tweet. Please read properly. I deleted it for it to not cause anymore misunderstanding, but I stated it's not confirmed and also that her ‘apparently' committed. I'm sorry for the confusion but PLEASE READ, it not my responsibility to answer EVERT qrt."
Kris Wu's camp has yet to comment on these suicide reports. So, these unconfirmed reports should be taken with a huge grain of salt until everything is proven true and correct.

Kris Wu Detained In China For Suspected Rape
For starters, the Beijing police has detained former EXO member Kris Wu on July 31, 2021, for, allegedly, seducing young women into having an intimate encounter with him. It has been made clear, however, that the case against the Chinese-Canadian pop star is still under investigation.
The sexual assault and rape allegations first emerged in July. A Chinese woman took to Weibo to share about her horrific experience when she was a student at the Communication University of China in Beijing.
She shared that she was 17 at the time of the alleged assault. Though there were not enough evidence presented to prove the claim at the time, the accusations gained further traction after 163.com, a major news portal, interviewed the Chinese woman.
Kris Wu categorically denied the allegations on his personal Weibo account. The company of the former K-pop idol even announced that it was pursuing legal action against the accuser and even called the allegations "malicious rumors."
The social media accounts of Kris Wu, which includes his Weibo page with more than 51 million followers, have been taken down after the police released a statement. The ruling Communist Party's Central Political and Legal Affairs Commission, which is the top law enforcement agency in China, also commented on the pop star's detention.
"On Chinese land, it is necessary to abide by Chinese laws. We do not wrong; we do not indulge. We take facts as the basis and the law as the criterion."

Kris Wu is an actor, singer, model and record producer, who was first introduced as a member of the K-pop group EXO. He also became part of the subgroup called EXO-M under SM Entertainment before he officially departed the group in 2014.
Before his detention, Kris Wu was an active solo actor and artist in Mainland China. Among his most notable projects include Journey to the West: The Demons Strike Back in 2017 and Mr. Six in 2015, which were also named as two of the highest-grossing Chinese films of all time.
Kris Wu also made a Hollywood debut in XXX: Return of Xander Cage in 2017. He also became the youngest celebrity to have a wax figure at Madame Tussauds Shanghai and received the "Newcomer of the Year" title from Esquire China in 2015.
