Du Sik And Hye Jin's Failed Wedding Proposals And Happy Ever After
Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha Episode 16 showed Kim Seon Ho and Shin Min Ah's characters' desire to marry each other. Days after Gam Ri was laid to rest, Hye Jin revealed to Pyo Mi Seon (Gong Min Jung) that she plans to propose to Du Sik.
The following day, Hye Jin asked Du Sik to meet her at the beach where they first met. The character of Shin Min Ah recounted the time when they knew each other. Hye Jin said she did not expect to fall in love with someone like Du Sik, especially since they have different personalities and interests.
Hye Jin also brought the pair of shoes she almost lost during her first meeting with Du Sik. But, this time, she also carried another pair of shoes with her for Du Sik. She then popped the question, asking her beau if he would marry her.
Initially, Du Sik was stunned by the question and responded with a "no." However, he was quick to explain that he did not mean to reject Hye Jin's wedding proposal. Instead, the character of Kim Seon Ho revealed that he also planned to propose to Hye Jin that day and even showed an expensive necklace he bought for his ladylove.
Just a few days before their wedding, Du Sik and Hye Jin decided to have their own prenup photos. Though they wanted to take the snaps for themselves, their neighbors started to appear one by one and offered their help to get things done.
While they were happy with the help, Du Sik and Hye Jin did not like the idea as they wanted to do it privately. The characters of Du Sik and Hye Jin then decided to run away and hike the highest peak in Gongjin to take their prenup photos there.
Du Sik and Hye Jin, in the earlier part of Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha Episode 16, also discussed having their own family. The lovebirds mutually decided to have two children.
Mi Seon And Eun Cheol Got Engaged
Aside from Du Sik and Hye Jin, Mi Seon and police officer Eun Cheol (Kang Hyoung Suk) also had their own dose of a happy ending. Mi Seon and Eun Cheol mistakenly thought that the latter won the lottery prize after the former's number combination matched the ones on the screen.
As Mi Seon started to celebrate her faux victory, Eun Cheol noticed that the draw dates of his girlfriend's lottery ticket and the one he searched on the internet did not match. It turned out that the one he showed Mi Seon was the winning number combination in the previous week.
Sad and feeling miserable about her loss, Mi Seon started murmuring how her faux victory affected her. Eun Cheol then asked his ladylove about her plans if she did win the lottery. Mi Seon said she simply wants to buy a house for her and Eun Cheol, whom she plans to be with for the rest of their lives.
Eun Cheol was obviously touched by Mi Seon's statements that he brought her to one of the most scenic places in Gongjin. The police officer then showed his girlfriend his passbook, which revealed that he has billions stored in the bank. Later on, Eun Cheol revealed that he was actually the secret lottery winner in Gongjin.
Mi Seon was stunned by her boyfriend's revelation and praised him for being such a smart manager of his own funds. The character of Gong Min Jung got even more impressed after Eun Cheol divulged that he has donated significant amounts of money to charities while he was studying to become a police officer.
Seong Hyeon And Wang Ji Won Are Official Together
Meanwhile, Seong Hyeon (Lee Sang Yi) and Wang Ji Won (Park Ye Young) finally became a couple in Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha Episode 16. Seong Hyeon realized that Ji Won has been by his side all along and found out that he started developing romantic feelings for the writer.
Wang Ji Won, for her part, has been secretly in love with Seong Hyeon for years. Since Director Ji has neglected her efforts, she attempted to leave and transfer to another media broadcasting company.
However, Seong Hyeon blocked Ji Won's transfer and vowed to her that he will become more sensitive and a better co-worker for his ladylove. Before Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha Episode 16 ended, Seong Hyeon and Ji Won were seen planning for another television show that resembles their love story.
Hwa Jeong and Yeong Guk Are Back Together
It cannot be denied that Hwa Jeong (Lee Bong Ryun) and Yeong Guk (In Gyo Jin) have imparted numerous lessons about marriage. Most, if not all, fans can recall that the pair got divorced after they were caught up with some unsolved issues in their relationship.
Initially, Yeong Guk was not knowledgeable about the primary reason why Hwa Jeong decided to give up on him. What he knew was that his ex-wife just hates him to the bones.
In the latter part of the series, it was revealed that Hwa Jeong's resentment towards Yeong Guk started after she overheard her ex-husband saying that he only tied the knot with her out of convenience and because he pitied her.
Yeong Guk then realized how he treated Hwa Jeong so badly when they were still together. To make it up to her and their son, Yi Joon (Ki Eun Yoo,) he asked for her forgiveness and assured Hwa Jeong that he would do everything to prove his love again.
