Here's When Star Wars: The Last Jedi Toys Will Be Unveiled

Force Friday II is definitely something to look forward to. On the eve of Sept. 1, fans can expect an onslaught of the newest toys headed for Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Disney confirmed this with Reuters (via Business World Online), confirming that the event will serve as a venue for fans to check out some of the toys before the holiday debut of the film arrives.

This new event is the follow-up to last year's buzz event for the Star Wars: The Force Awakens, one that is concentrated on merchandise promotion. That event had been very much successful, with merchandise sales being a driving force of its own in the new film. What's more, even the big toymakers Hasbro, Mattel, and even Disney saw Star Wars and the events surrounding it as big contributors to their sales.

Even with this, however, Disney's James Pitaro also notes that the goal of the events has still not changed, in as far as marketing is concerned.

"One of our top priorities is to expand the audience. We have a lot of confidence we will continue in that direction."

Hopefully, the same success can be seen from last year's event, given how big the buzz around Star Wars: The Last Jedi has been. Even the title alone has been receiving so much word-of-mouth, it would be interesting to see how this year's Force Friday II will go.

Force Friday II will be celebrated on Sept. 1. Star Wars: The Last Jedi will be out in theaters on Dec. 15.
